Privacy Policy

Amalia is a voice assistant for Android. Everything important about your data is in this short text, no legal fog.

The short version

The app collects no analytics, telemetry or usage statistics. Your conversation history is stored on the device only and never leaves it. We do not know who you are or what you talked about — we physically do not have that data.

What goes to the cloud

For the voice loop to work, part of the processing runs with third-party providers:

• Groq — speech recognition (Whisper) and answer generation (Qwen3). The recorded audio phrase and the system prompt with conversation context are sent to their cloud.
• Fish Audio — voice synthesis. The answer text is sent.

Processing of this data is governed by the privacy policies of the respective services. API keys are stored in app settings on the device and are never sent to us.

The mirabel.tech website

This website uses Yandex Metrica, a visit-statistics service: it records pages viewed, visit duration and (with Webvisor enabled) mouse movements. The data is anonymized and in no way linked to conversations inside the Amalia app. Collection can be disabled in browser settings (Do Not Track).

Permissions

The app asks for microphone access — the voice cannot work without it. Controlling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness and alarms requires the corresponding Android system permissions; each one is requested only when you use the feature and can be denied.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

The entire app code is open under the MIT license — you can verify every claim in this text in the repository.
